Tonight I have done nothing. We had a time set to meet up with friends at 7pm and, with them having small children, I sort of expected to be back in fairly quickly… still, I had a lovely time playing with Lego and generally being entertaining. It’s fun being with a 6 year old. The 2 year old was quite keen on me too – that’s quite unusual to be honest as the littler ones tend not to get on with me!
Work was pleasant enough today. A few little character traits are starting to show from a few children – it’s good to have characters – but I have started to find things that irritate me… the honeymoon period is coming to an end! A part of that is getting used to each other. They have grown up together and encountered various different teaching styles, and it always takes a while for children to learn what is and isn’t tolerated. The quick way to explain this is that I let very little happen that I’m not happy with.
Anyway, the difference between this class and my last class is huge and I still think I am in for a lovely year overall.
We grabbed a cache tonight too, extending our finds streak to 63 days and 1023 caches found in total.
