Day 177: Geocaching Update

Today has been long. And I mean, long. I don’t know what has made it drag, but it really has.

We’re reaching the transition time of year in school – the 6s are leaving and my next class will finally be told that they are actually having me. Not that there’s been any secret about it at all. That happens next week, and I need to begin considering what I’m going to do with them so I don’t feel behind the curve when we Monday comes after a busy weekend.

Other than that, not much else has gone on. We visited the site of a cache puzzle solution that we solved last night. We didn’t attempt to retrieve the cache for a number of reasons. I won’t go into them, because people are still trying to solve the puzzle and find the cache!

It also occurred to me that I forgot to mention last night’s cache, number 794 for us (GC4D9V0), which was in a storm drain in Dewsbury. Here are photos of me retrieving the cache, taken by Mrs Pitts from a safe distance.

Tonight’s cache was a puzzle based around Doctor Who episodes which was published on Monday (GC4ETHP). I quickly solved it using the might of the internet to help me and made sure the coordinates were accurate. Now, since we were busy that night, I left it at that, and thought it would be a good cache to complete later on in the calendar. However, earlier today, we noticed it still hadn’t been found by anyone and so, we thought we would go for it with First To Find potential. Sure enough, a short half mile walk later, a blank log sheet was found so FTF 19 was ours for cache number 795.
