I love the feeling of solving a puzzle. Currently, I have 34 tabs open in Chrome, all of which have helped me and Mrs Pitts to solve a geocaching puzzle. We haven’t worked on something so hard in a long time and it’s incredibly satisfying knowing that hard work pays off. As is often the case, there were red herrings along the way. This all sounds mysterious and underhand, but I really don’t want to give anything away – after all, this puzzle has only apparently been solved by us and someone else now and the cache is still to be found… You have to be a premium member, but if you’re interested, GC4E6YH is the cache to be looking at.
Elsewhere today, I attended a maths conference held in a sports centre. Completing early years maths challenges is a little unusual at the best of times for me, but doing so in a squash court is a first.
Still, plenty to think about as always from these things – some of which will feed into my grand maths plan for the school!
The Dragon’s Den style work is almost at an end now too. The three groups pitched their ideas to the year 5s, myself and Miss Joyce and we all agreed on the product to represent our school. The team need some tweaking to their presentation, but I’m sure will do well in the end.
A fun day. I should really have done some work tonight though.
