51: Is York still a lovely little place?!

Yes. Yes it is.

Some of the shopper type people got on my nerves, but on the whole, we had an enjoyable day in York. 17000ish steps made it even nicer.

The highlights were a geocaching event, a Viking procession – we had to make way for the king – and afternoon tea at Betty’s. The 17000 steps might help reduce the impact of that last one on my waistline…

Today a referendum on our position in the EU was announced. I have no idea where I stand on our position – I haven’t heard the arguments for or against – but I also haven’t ever had a time when we haven’t been part of it. I’m sure I’ll write about it over the coming months as things come out. One thing that may or may not happen is an additional day off as the school I work in is a polling station. Again, time will tell.
