Day 193: A Fabulous Friday

I’ve really enjoyed today.

It’s not often recently that I can say that – work is a hard slog at the moment, but today was just good.

The morning involved working on the choose your own adventures that we began yesterday in PowerPoint, then a maths puzzle involving the placement of pylons in a landscape where each feature cost varying amounts – the children were given a competition to find the cheapest possible path. I’ve used that idea before, at my last school.

This afternoon we went to a local church to learn about the work of the Fairtrade movement. All good.

After work, we found our 811th cache, and our 22nd First To Find. The cache was published last night and someone else had tried to locate it, but we got it fairly quickly. Filled another gap in our calendar, which now looks like this:

Later, there was a social gathering at my head teacher’s house with other colleagues. A nice time was had. I’m not good in those situations though, apparently I did well.
