Where on Earth has today gone? It certainly doesn’t seem like 17 and a quarter hours since The Boomtown Rats were waking me up. (Tell Me Why) I Don’t Like Mondays is currently the alarm of choice, that cracking piano introduction does wonders to rouse me from my sleep.

The day flew by at work – the afternoon in particular. I looked up and it was two o’clock, the next I knew, it was time to let my class leave at three.
The staff meeting may have slowed the march of time down somewhat, but that was over faster than normal too.
However, it has been the evening where I have suffered most from the ravages of time. I just do not know where it has gone. I have spent all of it marking a series of books, and yet that hasn’t felt arduous or like it was taking forever at all. Sure, I was watching The Apprentice with Mrs Pitts, but that didn’t distract me much. I’ve spent no time procrastinating, or on Facebook, or Twitter. I haven’t been lazy at all. Time has whizzed along, that’s all.
And here I am, at the end of another day. Actually, it’s not far from the end of the week and that feels odd as well, like it’s not actually Wednesday at all, but Tuesday.
How very strange this time lark is.
