Much of the day was spent in Leeds with Mrs Pitts, her sister and her mum. They were trying to find something for Mrs Pitts’ birthday as they don’t know what she wants. I am organised and things are already wrapped and ready for Friday.
Here is the Leedsness:
- We began in The Light, where we parked.
- The Card Factory was next. Cards were bought.
- Wandering about Evans was the next part of the day – dull.
- We then ventured into the new Trinity Centre – interesting but odd.
- The Lego Store was the highlight of that part of the trip – we enjoyed the pick and mix brick wall where you can choose your own pot of Lego pieces.
- A brief lunch and drink at Costa followed that.
- A short lift downstairs took us to Fossil – Mrs Pitts thought about watches and bags.
- We then found Samuel Taylor’s outside Trinity. Mrs Pitts’ sister needed some stuff – who knew there was a haberdashery still in Leeds?!
- We then split into teams – Mrs Pitts and her mum taking on Superdrug, Miss Shirley and I going to Ditsch.
- Meeting back up, we peered around the market – 5 sirloin steaks for £5, many sweets for cheapness. All good.
- WH Smith was next…
- …followed by Paperchase. I bought magnets.
- A quick Cath Kidston visit. Mrs Pitts thought there might be a funky iPhone case for me there. But ’twas not to be.
- Candy Hero took our fancy next, with plenty of goodies. I was limited to 3 items.
- A quick look around Game which didn’t really create much interest.
- Then back to The Light (which just happens to be the name of a Brian May album) to go home.
I’m not really keen on shopping. I won’t be going out for much else until the summer now…
On the way home, because I was hot – it became very warm this afternoon, I suffered a cracking head ache. They are still happening fairly regularly, but I put this one down to being too warm and not having drunk a huge amount.
Kit has been relatively grumpy this evening. Not massively sure why, but I’m sure she’ll perk up soon…
