I have plans to review my year of posts in the coming days. This blog has been about my day to day life. It has focussed on me. My life, my thoughts, my feelings. Things I do, things I love, things I enjoy. It hasn’t necessarily been thrilling reading at times, I’m well aware of that. But this is me. If there was ever a chance to get into my head, see how I work, see how I work then you’ve had your chance. Pick any of the previous year’s posts and you’ll see a slice of me. I promise you that.
I must discuss the day, since that’s the whole point of this blog.
Today I woke early (for this holiday anyway) and got lots of little jobs done. Then the post came. That was a work stopping moment as the items needed to place our most recent cache had appeared.
The rest of the day was taken up with getting that cache sorted and placed. I’ll post the puzzle below, but expect it to mash your brain.
Good luck solving that.
The rest of the year, from 5ish onwards, was spent at a friend’s house having a lovely time.
Going back to January 1st, 2013. I wrote this in the first post:
I intend to blog about something, anything, every day in 2013. I already have a back up plan in case this falls on its face which is to post just once a week if needed… Anything will be better than the mere 13 times overall in 2012, explaining the title above.
<snip>
- The focus of this blog may become more about work and my life rather than all the random hash of stuff it has grown into now. Although there will be days when a photo, a link or a YouTube video will have to do!
- I may actually end up following an idea through rather than getting lost in things
half waya quarter of the way through…So, this is day one of a new start. Yet another in the twists and turns this tiny site has taken.
Firstly, I don’t think I used my backup plan too often. I think I managed to find something to write about pretty much every day. Secondly, I achieved my aim – I have written more. The focus of this blog has spilt into three sections I think: work, geocaching and Formula One.
I followed an idea through.
I didn’t get lost in things half way, or even a quarter of the way, through.
These blogs, as I’ve already said, may or may not be the most thrilling thing in the world. But I’ve thoroughly enjoyed myself writing them.
As for 2014… who knows. It’s not going to be every day. But I will write more often.
