The first day of the holiday has arrived. It is a Friday. I have to keep telling myself that because it certainly doesn’t feel like one.
We had a little lie in to start the break – a tradition, I think you’ll find – had a quick breakfast then went out shopping. We are at a wedding on Sunday, so Mrs Pitts needed something to complete her outfit. She knew exactly what she wanted, we almost went straight to the items once we got to the store, and a happy Mr Pitts was to be found at the shopping centre due to the general efficiency of the trip.
When we got back, I had a little bit of work to complete for the school website while the kitchen became sparkly, and then I desparklified it a little as I was in charge of making lunch…
And then, despite the snow that’s still here, we decided that, since it is now officially spring, we might as well have a good old clean around the house. So that took up a fair bit of the afternoon.
TV was watched, food was eaten – a gorgeous chilli – more TV was watched, and a cat was played with.
Tomorrow has Doctor Who in store. I simply cannot wait.
