Day 27: On Which I Turn 30…

Well today was my birthday (still is, in fact, as I type). My cake, made by the wonderful Mrs Pitts, is below.

The cake was a clue to the main present. The day consisted of opening presents, eating food, eating cake and eating more cake. I am now the proud owner of two beautiful canvases featuring the images below from our wedding day.

Mrs Pitts also bought me a frame with four photos from our pre-wedding shoot at Oakwell Hall and, the highlight, tickets to the British Grand Prix in July. The tickets haven’t been booked yet, as we are trying to work out where to sit. I last visited Silverstone for the 2004 British Grand Prix but the circuit has altered dramatically since then. In fact, it has changed significantly over the years, as these images show.

At the moment, I’m thinking Village will be a good place to sit, although Luffield is attractive too! It’ll be a wonderful weekend, and I’m really looking forward to it!
