I think I agree with this, but there are some people I know who I would still be careful discussing it with too… I tend to think that it all boils down to conceptions of where the conversation will go. I’m not one to seek conflict and would much rather hide my opinion than get into a debate – I would take an awkward silence over that sort of thing any day.
I think speaks volumes about who I am. I much prefer my own company, or that of very close friends, over a large crowd of people.
I have often shied away from politics too, though that may become unavoidable as Donald Trump steers Americans towards what feels like Mexico-style levels of corrupt politicians. I do fear for what lies ahead in the coming months with him in charge…
