332: Who became the 2016 Formula One World Champion?

The odds were always in his favour, but Nico Rosberg eventually became World Champion this afternoon.

He becomes the 33rd person to achieve that feat. 21 of them are still alive. He is also the third German driver to do this after Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel.

Lewis Hamilton became the first driver to win ten races in a season and not become Champion.

I will write more about the race later this week, once I’ve had chance to make the final standings charts to summarise the longest season in F1 history.
