I am writing this on my phone in preparation for posting once back in the land of the wifi sometime tomorrow. We moved from our first base in Cambridge to another hotel in Oxborough.
Quite lovely really. It gave me an opportunity to gaze at the stars in the evening. I could stop looking at my emails, my social media profiles and all the other things that go with that.
Did I miss it? Not really. Had I been in a position where I never had access to these things, I would be a very different person. I am well aware that technology is a huge part of my life. This website has been run by me in various configurations for approaching 15 years now for instance.
What I have missed is the chance to post my photos online from our break away. I’ve only had the chance to share a few but will catch up over the coming days.
However, going without that for a day isn’t a hardship really. I have still written for today even if I can’t post it until I’m back home tomorrow. The streak still counts in my head!
