30 Day Song Challenge: Day 13 – Which song is your guilty pleasure?

This is a little unusual, because I can’t narrow this one down. I am going to post two songs that I love.

The first is Hanson’s Mmmbop. I think it’s the infectious nature of it, the endless hope that the song encompasses… it’s just happy!

The second is one that is more complicated to explain. For a long time at Grange Moor, there has been a running joke that we should play a version of this song. So I arranged one.

When you pick apart a song in order to compose it for a band, you appreciate it a lot more. It is a very complex piece overall. Cheese generally is.
