Day 349: Nearly There…

Today was meant to be a day of organising things for the remaining five teaching days of 2013. That hasn’t happened. Spending yesterday doing very little has meant that today was spent catching up on jobs that have been a little neglected recently around the house.

The small things seem to take forever at the moment – either that or the days are becoming shorter! I really can not wait for the next week to be over so that I can officially rest for a while.

The cache we found was a puzzle we had solved a while ago, but upon finding was a bit of a disappointment as it was full of water, meaning we were unable to write on it. Hopefully the photo of Mrs Pitts with the log is enough to convince the owner we were there!

Andy Murray won the BBC Sports Personality 2013 Award. Quite how, I’ve no idea. The show was from the newish Leeds Arena and it’s’ the first time I’ve really seen inside the wonderful new space. I really must get along there to see something at some point.

Lastly, the ceremony to celebrate the life of Nelson Mandela was held today in South Africa. It looked stunning overall and a fitting send off for a true great of our time – a life well lived, when allowed to.
