It’s getting to that stage where nothing much is happening at school right now but plans are being made for Christmas time. We are planning a carol concert and work on the songs will take up time most days between now and the time they are performed. Still the outcome is worth it overall.
I’m still teaching without an interactive whiteboard and it’s a little bit of a chore – every lesson is a bit of a bodge of what I would teach in an ideal world and what I can manage without technology. The biggest problem is a lack of any usable board to convey things on. I’m managing at the moment.
The Grange Moor site is now pretty much done – all that’s missing are the photos of players in action. I’ll begin getting those together this weekend as they play in Bradford. My Christmas conducting duties begin tomorrow night however at the White Rose Centre‘s Christmas lights switch on. I’m half looking forward to it and half really not, like all concerts. I always enjoy myself once it gets going, but hate being on show for every second I’m stood in front of the band. It’s quite informal though, playing to people as they walk past, so all should be well. I hope.
