Geekness:
(I did have to Google this one, I’ll be honest)
297 is a Kaprekar number, named after D. R. Kaprekar.
In mathematics is a non-negative integer which when squared can be split into two parts that add up to the original number again.
For instance, 45 is a Kaprekar number, because 45² = 2025 and 20+25 = 45.
Here’s why 297 is one:
- 297 squared = 88209.
- Breaking into two parts gives 88 and 209.
- 88 + 209 = 297.
Anyway, today was another frustrating day at work. Not with the children, they have been really good this week. Working with some colleagues is proving difficult at the moment – the half term break can only give me a good chunk of time away from them, but also I need to reset my head a bit after the mashing it has been through this week.
Tomorrow night sees the first public performance of Heroes for ten piece brass band. I’m really looking forward to seeing how it goes down.
Lastly for tonight, I’ve rediscovered The Carpenters. Every couple of years I remember how good they are and how much I adore them. It was partly sparked by the use of A Song For You in a TV show I saw recently. Love it. But not as much as the guitar solo in Goodbye To Love – now that is amazing.
