The day has stretched out ton an incredible length. Not sure why. However, I’ve not really managed to get much done.
I began by not getting up for the Korean Grand Prix qualifying on purpose. I was far too tired and generally when I’ve done that in the past, it’s made waking up early for the race the next day very difficult. So, tomorrow the alarm is set for 5:30am – earlier than a normal work day. The race will hopefully not be dominated by Sebastian Vettel, but I can’t see anyone else getting close to him.
I caught up with making my F1 Championship standing graphs too having got a little behind. I’ve back dated them to the day of the race but created graphs for standings after the Belgian Grand Prix, Italian Grand Prix and the Singapore Grand Prix. I like how these charts show the development of the two championships over time. It’s clear to see how Vettel and Red Bull are marching away with it.
Elsewhere I cleaned the living room – dull, wrote individual target documents for all my class – even duller, watched a fair bit of TV while Mrs Pitts slept – duller still.
We didn’t find a cache today either. We tried two. One we gave up on. The other we knew exactly where it was as we dismissed it the other day while out caching in order to save it for emergency caching. However, it was dark by this point. The torchlight showed that the hedge the cache was in ad been drastically cut back and the cache wasn’t there. It’s containing bag was, but no actual log to sign. Still, I have logged it as a found and contacted the cache owners to say that we will sign the log when it is replaced – we do know them fairly well so hopefully they will be happy with this. If not, it will leave a gap in our calendar and end our streak of finds on 87 days. I hope they help us out and accept that we will sign it as soon as we can!
I should have, in hindsight, not left it until it was getting dark to go out and get one. Mrs Pitts was asleep for a good three hours and I could have sneaked off at any time. I didn’t feel like I should have left her though as she wasn’t feeling too well and I was a little worried. That was more important than finding a bit of plastic in a hedge.
