Day 271: Two 1st Birthdays

The majority of today was spent celebrating the first birthday of two of our friends’ children. We had a lovely time in good company eating buffet and cake. What more could a Saturday hold?!

That took up most of the day to be honest. The morning contained a couple of hours working on Heroes again which continued after we returned home. To me, it’s sounding good, although I’m getting sick of hearing it and having it running through my brain. Mrs Pitts is having her input into it too as she will be playing it – her part is ridiculously dull at the moment and I’m not sure how to liven it up. The ending still needs work, but I now have a firm idea in my head of what to do for it now. Songs that fade out rather than actually stop pose problems when it comes to arranging them. Still, I reckon that tomorrow morning will see the last bit of work on it – I have the articulation of the melody to place as well as sort the ending out. Then I think it’s done.

I… I wish you could swim…
