Today we found twenty geocaches. I won’t go into them – it’s late and not very interesting – but they all help our numbers. Next Saturday is 1000 cache deadline day and the push today makes that target fingertip close. We have currently found 984 caches, leaving just 16 to grab in the next week.
Bowling was good fun. 8 of us went, 7 adults and a five year old. We played two games – I was pitiful in the first (last of the adults) but better in game 2, coming fourth. The highlight of that though was a young child getting his arm stuck in a chocolate vending machine. It’s the sort of thing that you see in cartoons but in real life it is actually hilarious. I particularly enjoyed the moment when the firemen arrived to free him. I’m sure the child was worried, I’m sure his family were too. But it was funny.
After bowling, we went for a meal at a nearby pub. It was ok, nothing to write home about – particularly for the amount we paid really.
Still, a good, relaxing day.
