16 more caches today to take us up to 949 finds. Lots of driving around too. It makes this month our second best ever after August 2011 where we found 141 caches. The problem we have is that we can’t possibly beat it due to our self imposed limit to reach 1000 by the end of the month. Things are going well there. I was really pessimistic about being able to get there but after a few big days, we’re more on track than we’ve ever been. We now only need 4 a day (slightly less actually) in order to get to 1000 by August 31st. This is all good as, with only two weeks left until the new school term, I really should begin thinking about organising my brain into a working mode again.
After tomorrow’s finds (it’s too late now) I’ll update our geocaching statistic tab above with all the latest information.
The rest of the day – I’m not going to go into the caches as none of them were really outstanding, the simple ones that we’ve used to boost numbers generally aren’t – was spent asleep (we ignored all alarms this morning), at my Dad’s house (having a chat and watching Shrek 2), eating tea (a lovely piri piri chicken affair) and looking into other caches (it really has taken over my life right now).
No nothing massively thrilling!
