The majority of today was spent conducting. Admittedly that was only 4 hours, but add to the the hour either side of travelling, preparation and putting stuff away again, and you get most of the day gone.
It was a good day. The band was playing at Junction 32 Retail Park to shoppers, and so very few people were hanging around to actually listen. There was no pressure on us at all – and that’s good because I struggle knowing people are there to hear us. Don’t deal with pressure well.
Anyway, that was my day.
I didn’t find a cache today, but Mrs Pitts did in order to keep our streak going. There were a couple of new ones published and, since they were so close, couldn’t resist trying to find at least one of them first. She found GC4JFZ5:
This was more Mrs Cool than Mr Cool. I was sitting at home, trying to plan for the start of the new school year whilst Grubbly had a prior engagement with his band. Being a little bit bored, I decided to check my e-mails. Well, what do you know, a new Mr Men cache only up the road – I programmed the co-ords into my GPS and apologised to Kit Cat for leaving her. Rushed up to it and was pleased to see a blank log sheet. Now to fill it in…I knew my name and was pretty sure the date was correct, but what time was it? No watch, no phone, no idea… I estimated at 14:30 and worked out when I got back home that it was pretty close. Possibly 5 minutes out. Note to self…pick phone up on way out! I was settled back at home when my phone bleeped – 2 more Mr Men caches published says Grubbly. I know thanks! TFTC and our 5th FTF in a week.
All of this gives us another souvenir:
I’m really liking how the patchwork quilt is coming along.
And now, sleep.
