Today was a good day in school. Another rehearsal in the baking heat for our Summer Concert this morning, followed by a brief brush up of some of the songs which we are finding tricky at the moment. All will be well come Wednesday evening though, I’m sure. The afternoon was full of good discussion about Victorian attitudes then more work on their homework presentations which need to be completed by Friday.
The evening saw me take a trip back to Millbridge to support Mrs Pitts as she guided the Year 5 and 6 children through their performance of The Lemonade Kid. They were lovely and it was a little strange to see some of the children who were in Year 3 as I left appear quite grown up compared to when I left them. That’s not something I normally get to see, and since moving schools I haven’t had any such continuity at all as no one has left Gomersal in a few years as they made the switch from First & Nursery school to a full Primary.
Of course, we finished the day with a cache, GC4EJYM, in Roberttown. It had a difficulty rating of 2.5 an a terrain rating of 3 and is only the 4th such cache we have found with that combination.
I saw on a fellow cacher’s blog a Geocaching Achievements page – I quite like the gathering of information like that in one place so may implement it over the summer break. 6 teaching days left…
