In case you weren’t aware, that thing that sometimes appears in the sky can get a bit hot. Right now, it is difficult to cope with.
It’s not representative as it may have been in direct sunlight, but the weather station we have hit 42 degrees today… I’d probably take 12/13 off that. I spent roughly ten minutes outside during the mid afternoon and I hated every second of it. When’s it autumn again?
We got the official Year 6 results in today. I can’t really discuss them here, but we are relatively happy with the outcomes. It’s safe to say that my little maths group all achieved or exceeded their predicted levels, although the results were slightly less positive in other subjects. Once they are published on the school website, I’ll reveal the figures. Maybe.
Lessons today include more work on Skellig – this book is taking forever to get through because of the nature of the summer term. The kids are loving it, but the bitty unit is becoming hard now. I want to get it done this week but I guarantee that something will get in the way…
No cache was needed today, but the next 12 days are the only gaps left now in July – then we will have April, May, June and July full. We currently have around 56% of the calendar full.
Slowly getting towards the summer. All will be well.

Imagine that heat plus some. Then it rains, hitting the ground and steam rising all about. That’s what my life is like in the summer months.

I would hate that. Cannot stand being warm.
