Very little of anything happened today to be fair… preparations at work were going on for tomorrow’s sports day, we expected the Ofsted report to come through but that didn’t happen, the printing of signing of children’s reports was happening before they go out on Friday. It is very obviously the middle of the week.
School has been a little relentless since Ofsted’s visit. We haven’t had a chance to unwind at all now that some of the pressure is off. If anything, because of some of the report’s contents – which, as a staff, we’ve had summarised for us as the whole thing is under wraps until it’s officially available (tomorrow?) – involve my role directly. Plans to respond to the points for development are already under way and it is all happening a little too quickly for my tiny mind to comprehend. It’s difficult to write about because I can’t share any detail at all.
I’m missing teaching my class too at the moment. I hardly see them as it is with only having them after lunch, but the general timetabling mess that is summer term has meant that I am doing very little of anything much really… tomorrow is sports day, Friday is looking roughly normal for now but next week is appearing chaotic too!
Oh well, this might have been a day of normalness, but I wonder when the next one will come along?
