Firstly, this is post 501 on this website. I’m slightly annoyed that I missed 500, I hadn’t realised that yesterday’s geeky maths thing was post 500. Oh well. It’s only taken 9 years to write 500 things – clearly this year has been very good for the totals with 150 daily posts, a couple of additional maths/infographic bits plus all the Formula One posts from qualifying, races and championship standings. Including this one, 172 different pieces of writing have been published on this site so far this year alone. That’s over 13 times the amount of 2012, which was the whole inspiration to the 365 attempt in the first place!
To celebrate the end of half term, a week of hard work, and because Mrs Pitts wanted to, we went out for cocktails in Leeds this evening (the rest of the day had been filled with doing work and isn’t really worth discussing!)
We began with a Raspberri Cherry Collins (Absolut Raspberri Vodka and Davna Cherry Vodka shaken over ice and topped with lemonade) and a Fruit Punch (strawberry, white peach, cranberry, apple and lime). Remember, I don’t drink, so you can tell who had what quite easily.

After these, we had a Rivoting Raspberri (Champagne, Absolut Raspberri Vodka and Chambord) and a Diamond Fizz (apple juice, pear, elderflower, lime and sugar topped with ginger ale).

Feeling peckish, we then went to Nando’s for tea. A lovely evening to end a long week. Still have lots to get done over the next couple of days though.
