What was planned as quite a busy day ended up not being quite as productive as planned…
We did cover quite a few jobs in the morning, but the afternoon ended up as a bit of a wash out. I spent it downstairs in the cellar scanning some photos from Grange Moor’s band room for the revamping of their website and to add to their Facebook timeline. I want the history of the band to be a big feature of the new site – they have existed since 1854 so their heritage is a big thing. The relaunch of the site in time of their 160th year is the plan. Gathering as much information as possible about that time is my aim over the next few months.
Anyway, scanning very large photos in two part and slapping them back together isn’t something I’ve done before. The first one (2004) took a long time, although the second one (2003) was easier.

Anyway, this morning looked like this:
- ASDA: to drop off work trousers for dry cleaning.
- Dad’s house: to pick up some chives for our raised beds that he’s grown for us.
- Boots: to get a variety of things, including some herbal based thing to help prevent my migraines.
- Pets At Home: in order to top up Kit’s food and buy her a couple of new play things.
- Homesense: to try to find a new bowl for Mrs Pitts’ cookery adventures.
- Krispy Kreme: to purchase doughnuts as an aid to work – they haven’t helped yet.
- B&Q: on the hunt for netting to protect our raised bed vegetables, however we bought a couple of dwarf fruit trees among other garden items.
- Home: to work on the photos above with a couple of others and eat!
Since Mrs Pitts’ sister is across from Morecambe, we invited her and Jon round for tea and playing with Kit. This was the remainder of the evening – a lovely and enjoyable night.
I just wished I’d actually done something productive today.
