Day 118: What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

I spent today completing the jobs I intended to do yesterday. Those were marking Literacy from Friday and revamping the school’s report format for the coming year.

Those don’t sound like big jobs – and to be fair they weren’t – but I knew that I had to get them done and had been a little panicky when I couldn’t get anything done yesterday. I’d have liked to get them out of the way and be able to rest today. The weekend has been a good one though, don’t get me wrong, I just haven’t felt in control of my time at any point.

We also had a lovely lunch with The Figgs during which the world was put to rights, geocaching was discussed and general merriment was had.

At band tonight, we had the Annual General Meeting – the 158th – and worked through some newer pieces for forthcoming events. This included a couple of dodgier ones which I hadn’t played before. The band did a good job, but they feel very risky choices to me. Hopefully all will go well though.
