Day 104: Post 113

So post 113, eh? Excellent. The additional posts come from the Formula One items I’ve been writing – if you care there are posts written during each race and qualifying so far this year. I’m utterly shooting myself in the foot doing that as I will be at Silverstone during those sessions and so anything I write will be retrospective about the events. Those posts tend to be written as they happen and become slightly difficult to read. My advice is to just read them and think that each time there is a new paragraph, that was after a slight break.

Just like this one.

Golf got in the way there.

Back to today, which was my sister’s birthday. To celebrate, myself and Mrs Pitts did some work, but also met up with Rachel, Matthew, her husband, and our Dad for a meal at La Dolce Vita (a lack of any kind of website means that this Trip Advisor one will have to do). The meal itself was alright – nothing hugely special, but not rubbish. Few people in there meant we were given the waiter’s full attention when we needed it. We have been there before, and it’s the sort of place that you can visit every now and then and have a decent enough meal and for it to feel nice.

On the way home, we completed a cache, as today was a calendar gap (there is just one more gap left in April now). GC46E22 under the Greenway in Spen Valley was the cache of choice. A tricky little blighter, but we did get it in the end.

Other than that, and the usual Sunday band, nothing much happened. I’ve already written about the Chinese Grand Prix, which was the best race I can recall happening at that circuit, and made graphs showing the current standings in the championships. We did have a quick, lovely, visit from Karen, Elliot and Lauren Wood – friends of Mrs Pitts’ from band but I think I’m on safe enough ground to call them my friends too – who brought around Mrs Pitts’ birthday presents and a keen interest in Kit and Captain Satsuma.
