I could have got away with saying my Chinese Grand Prix Qualifying report was today’s blog. But it isn’t really. So I can’t. One small piece of F1 news from that: Mark Webber, who initially qualified 14th, will start at the back of the grid after the amount of fuel n his car wasn’t enough to a) get him back to the pits on his own and b) provide a 1 litre sample for the FIA. 150ml was all that he had in his tank as he pulled up.
Today was spent putting some finishing touches to work. It’s almost unbelievable that I am back at school on Monday after such a relaxing break. I don’t ever remember a school holiday working out so well for me. I don’t feel ready to go back – I’m not itching to do so – but I do feel ready to face the challenges that each teaching day provides again. That wasn’t quite the case before Easter, if I’m honest.
Other events today include the beginnings of constructing our raised beds in the garden – rain and the lack of a drill to make pilot holes in the corner supports stopped us from getting much further than levelling out the ground where the first one will be which was a job and a half. As well as this, we spent the evening in the company of Sally, Graham and Isobelle around their house. The meal and entertainment of Simon Monkey were lovely! Thanks!
A fairly late blog, but I’ve also been trying to set up the wireless connection between my router and the Sky+ box. It’s not playing ball. I gave up and wrote this instead.
Expect the usual update every 5 laps blog during the race tomorrow morning, after which I shall be catching up on tonight’s Doctor Who.
