Firstly, I’m surprised there has been very little no reaction of yesterday’s post about Disney‘s Nazi Donald Duck short. Anyway…
Today was spent at the wedding of Debbie and Austin. Debbie is my mum’s cousin, so no real blood relation – and no link exists now that mum is no longer with us. This was the second marriage for each of them. They both looked incredibly comfortable and relaxed throughout the day. Surprising really given their individual circumstances. Austin sadly lost his father during the week and Debbie’s mother is not in a great state of health. They both got through the day with remarkably few tears. It was hard enough for me not having my mum at my wedding, but I at least had had plenty of time to mourn and get used to the thought that she wouldn’t be there. I still cried though when having to talk about her during my speech, and shed a tear today for Austin as he remembered his father with us.
I didn’t take any worthwhile pictures of the occasion, so you’ll have to forgive me for not illustrating this post.
Today is also the end of the first quarter of the year (I know 365 divided by 4 is 91.25, but three months is close enough). I had planned to take a little time to look back at the things I’ve written about and try to spot some themes or maybe reflect on what I’ve written over the past 90 days. I think I will make time for that tomorrow as I have rarely re-read any of this posts after writing them and making sure they look ok on the site. Plus that’ll be that little bit closer to a quarter of a year anyway!

I am truly envious of your writing style. It is, I think – as I am mathematically inadequate- indicative of how one might write who also thinks in numbers. Orderly, concise, and leading somewhere logical.

Why thank you Moira! I don’t really think about my writing style, I just sit and type! There is often a small plan of what I want to write about, but mostly the posts are quite organic in that they evolve as I type.
