Day 83: A Lazy Sunday Of Nothingness

This evening we were supposed to be playing a Spring concert at Grange Moor, however, because of the snow, that was cancelled. In fact, I should be there bashing stuff at the back right now.

The main event of the day has been the Malaysian Grand Prix (my report). A fascinating race with lots of interesting events. The main one being Vettel‘s win – already being described as controversial after defying team orders to back off and let Red Bull team mate Mark Webber take the chequered flag ahead of him. This was in contrast to the Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg who finished third and fourth, crossing the line in close formation 12 seconds behind Vettel. They obeyed orders from their pitwall to hold station.

Vettel’s first win of the season sent him top of the standings with 40 points to Kimi Raikkonen‘s 31. Webber is third overall on 26. Red Bull took the lead in the constructors’ championship from Ferrari after two races (some fabulous graphs here).

The rest of the day involved a bit of work, some food shopping, a bit of TV watching. All the usual things a Sunday contains.
