In Formula 1 news, Mercedes have let a few journalists preview their brand new V6 1.6-litre turbo charged engine for the 2014 season. The debate surrounding these regulations has been rumbling a while. Many people fear that the sound will be terrible. Now, the current engines aren’t great sounding, not like the throaty power houses of the past. The engine manufacturers insisted the power units would deliver a different – but still satisfying – noise. The news is basically that the engines sound different, but good.
