This is a little bit of a revelation for me. Forty days to go in 2013.
325 is the smallest number to be the sum of two squares in 3 different ways:
- 12 + 182
- 62 + 172
- 102 + 152
Today is another one that has absolutely flown by. As always, Thursdays are a half day of teaching for me as the afternoon is given for planning, preparation and assessment time. It’s difficult to manage this as I tend to get pulled in all kinds of directions given my ICT position and I also end up doing plenty of maths jobs around school too – the maths resource cupboard is currently a bit of a disgrace (people don’t like to place things back in their carefully labelled places, clearly) and could do with some attention. Still, that will have to wait a bit longer as Christmas is beginning to build up to its inevitable crescendo. I really dislike the loss of continuity in schools at this time of year. It’s all worth it in the end, but so much hard work goes into creating things for such a short period of time.
