This is being written on day 264. Many things prevented me from blogging last night, iOS7 being the main one – the computer in the cellar is horribly slow at the moment. I need to spend some time decluttering it and making a viable working machine again. I didn’t put my laptop on at all last night and by the time I’d finished preparing my phone for the update – which has to be done on the cellar computer – it was too late to be getting it out. Updating the firmware also meant that I couldn’t use my phone to write on either.
So, you see my evening was mainly taken up by installing iOS7 – like huge sections of the internet lately. I purposely waited to add it since there were always going to be issues with millions of people all trying to access the same server at a time. At one point it caused double the usual amount of internet traffic (although some reports only place a 12% increase on usual web activity, that’s the internet for you).
I’ve yet to really explore the new features, but I like the redesign so far. It absolutely makes a difference, which was much needed in some areas.
