You know that feeling when you wish you’d never started something? Well, that.
I’ll come back to that in a minute.
Most of today was spent doing things for work. Lots of little jobs, but vital ones really – they needed doing at some point. I won’t bore you with the details.
We completed one cache today – the focus was on getting jobs done really. This cache we’d attempted before and couldn’t find it. It turns out that the cache was there after all and we hadn’t quite looked hard enough, or rather in the right place for such a sneaky hide. Anyway, it gained us another new souvenir.
Now, the thing I wish I hadn’t started. There are plenty of geocaching puzzles out there – you solve a particular task and you get to know where the cache is. However, some of these puzzles are particularly tricky. Today, on and off, has been filled with two of these puzzles. The cachers out there should know about Whitespace and Werewolf.
Whitespace, a 13 step puzzle, I managed to get through in about 3 hours overall. I have probably spent that amount of time on Werewolf alone. I don’t know how many pieces there are to this puzzle. I think I’ve found 5 so far. I can see that dominating my mind for some time to come. Whitespace, I have to admit, has been one of my favourite puzzles of the 93 that we have solved so far. Fun.
