The half term is fast approaching now and colleagues of mine are, or rather appear to be, more tired than I am. Teaching can be a draining job, and usually I feel much more ready for a holiday than right now. The bitty nature of the last few weeks for me has probably helped me by giving me naturally longer breaks from the classroom than normal. As I’ve mentioned before, this has been an incredibly frustrating half term in the sense that I haven’t been in class for a full week for four of the six weeks we’ve been back since Christmas. The opportunity to develop staff and the teaching of maths in school is part of the reason I took the opportunity to move schools so I can’t complain and I’ve loved every minute of it.
I’m looking forward though to the break and working through a list of jobs, as well as having time with Mrs Pitts.
Band was sparse in numbers – something to do with Valentine’s Day – but good nonetheless!
