As most of you may or may not know, I love maths. I recently discovered Matt Henderson’s site: blog.matthen.com, and love his posts.
As he says:
I post original stuff about maths, space, computational linguistics and other things that I like. This blog is meant to be accessible andinteresting to people of all backgrounds.
Now, for a lot of his posts, you don’t need to be a mathematician, but it helps! His recent post about Voronoi tiling (an example of which is the coloured mess you see here) was both interesting and fascinating, and contained a pretty picture! More specifically it’s about Chaos Theory and trying to represent patterns seen in nature using mathematics – something I am interested in (my dissertation was all about it back in the day).
Anyway, visit him if you get the chance – have a look around and see the magnificence!
