Today it snowed<\/a>. Not enough to provide the wonder of a snow day at work, particularly as most of it came during late afternoon. We have, however, got away with a fairly light covering in comparison to some places of the UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Yet another quiet day at work. My class have become increasingly irritated through the week as they have been kept in. The playground is icy, with temperatures struggling to get anywhere near zero, and little flurries of snow making getting outside difficult. The main thing when considering whether to allow them outside is their safety – the last thing anyone wants is to have accidents happening.<\/p>\n

The forecast is for more snow over the weekend and into Tuesday. Time to prepare for more frustrated children. See the related\u00a0articles\u00a0for more UK snow information!<\/p>\n

Yesterday, I disclosed details of goings on within the alphabet. Today more letter based events occurred. D returned home at the same time as B, no real news there. However, B disappeared shortly after and returned with G and H in tow – two letters that D didn’t know (E was still at work so snooping had to be done by D on a solo mission.) Thinking on his feet, and remembering that there were plenty of items in the boot of his car that he could retrieve, he went out and retrieved some items, solely to observe the movements of \u00a0B, G and H. B acknowledged D and appeared fairly cheery, considering that he is now without A and C. D didn’t really know what to make of these events – it appeared that G and H were moving in to A and C’s old location. As I type though, that place is still in darkness.<\/p>\n

Hot 8 Brass Band<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Earlier this week, my friend Cameron was on BBC Radio 6 Music<\/a>. He was eulogising the Tuba<\/a>, his instrument of choice. This was part of\u00a0Shaun Keaveny<\/a>‘s show called Songs Of Praise, where listeners praise something. You can guess what Cameron praised. It\u00a0finishes\u00a0with The Hot 8 Brass Band<\/a>‘s version of Marvin Gaye<\/a>‘s Sexual Healing<\/a><\/em>. Cameron has described Hot 8 Brass as “the most dangerous brass band in the world with three former members having been shot dead in unrelated shootings. They’re from New Orleans<\/a> but signed to Tru Thought, a Jazz lable based in Brighton<\/a>. The featured Tuba player’s called Bennie Pete.”<\/p>\n
