The realisation that this is the second long term blogging project I’ve done – mostly in private this time – and it’s approaching its conclusion is not lost on me.<\/p>\n
The aims of the project have shifted and twisted as time has passed. It never really began with any purpose, being a spur of the moment thing on January 1st. I’m not saying that for any dramatic purpose, it really was something done on a total whim once I realised that it was going to be a 366 rather than a 365…<\/p>\n
I recall planning a few posts – themes that would crop up monthly, such as photo highlight posts from the month gone by, and even looking back at photos from previous years. I went through a phase of not adding images here, but just to Facebook and I wanted them to appear on an independent platform. I still haven’t done that.<\/p>\n
The daily question idea came about after two or three days. The initial posts worked well like that, but that format quickly lapsed into a round up of each day.<\/p>\n
As the last few days unfold, the main aim is still there. At the end of it all I want to write more often. This was the mission of my previous 365 project but, me being me, it never happened. I would hope that 731 posts later, it would be a bit more ingrained. However, it boils down to this: if I don’t have a reason to write, why bother? If nothing amazing has happened, why create a bland part of the internet for it? What is the point? It’s finding those opportunities and running with them that I find hard.<\/p>\n
