Today was the first day back at work after Easter and a day of additional recuperation after my wisdom tooth extraction. I felt terrible not being at work yesterday but I needed to manage the pain and be totally ready. This profession of mine isn’t the easiest to have time off from, but it was for the best.<\/p>\n
To be honest, I’m around 80% well. I still have swelling in my jaw and I am very conscious of that. The pain has been less of an issue, although I still ache and I am still taking painkillers regularly to keep on top of that. I plan to see how I feel in the morning but have them close by just in case.<\/p>\n
The reason for my 80% judgement of wellness is for the swelling, the aching and the tiredness. I didn’t even have a full day of teaching really as I take years 3 and 4 swimming on a Tueaday afternoon. I also didn’t have lots of marking to deal with either. And yet I still feel more drained than I would have expected.<\/p>\n
I’m glad I didn’t have much marking as it is also Mrs Pitts’ birthday today.<\/p>\n
Tomorrow is a much busier day. I hope I can assess myself at a higher percentage of tip-topperoo-ness thi time tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
