Today was a trip across the country to Morecambe<\/a> in aid of Mrs Pitts’ parent’s 40th wedding anniversary. They had made the trip to spend some time with my sister-in-law<\/a>, known as Sister Flash (sometimes), and we had travelled along to surprise them for lunch at Slyne Lodge<\/a> as they were unaware of our presence. The surprise was a nice thing to do.<\/p>\n

On the way, to break up the journey, we grabbed a few caches – of course.<\/p>\n

One memorable one involved a plastic carrot<\/a> hidden in some ivy near Growing With Grace on the A65<\/a> – a cooperative that delivers organic veg boxes across the North West – and is also known for its carrot based countdown signs. One is shown below from Geolocation<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Anyway, the cache wasn’t memorable for its location, or the fact that it was a plastic carrot. No, it was memorable for Mrs Pitts’ attempt to steal a car… almost. The car was parked alongside the cache, and the only way to search for it was to be right next to the car. The owner appeared and drove off while we both looked highly suspicious… I took this photo in an attempt to create a distraction\/reason to be there.<\/p>\n

\"Carrot<\/a><\/p>\n

Another good cache was found on the shore near Heysham<\/a>. This was the first cache in a two part puzzle – the second part we will grab another time, when we go back there again (hopefully it won’t disappear in the meantime as has happened with some caches in the past). The two photos below are taken near that cache location. It looks like a \u00a0gorgeous day, however the journey home was done through a violent storm!<\/p>\n
