After a long-ish journey, we arrived at the circuit in time for first practice. It had been raining fairly heavily – enough for wet tyres to be needed. We missed a lot of the early action though and so didn’t see the Lotus or McLaren cars<\/a> at all in that session.We watched this from Woodcote corner<\/a>. \u00a0This was followed by a practice session for the GP2<\/a> drivers and a change of location to the International Pit<\/a> Straight stand. I knew this would be busy, so we stayed there until the second F1 practice session was over – it gave us an overview of the pit lane from a distance, a little too far away to be worth the money they charge in my view and I couldn’t watch a whole race from there as you’d see little of the action. For the final section of the day, the GP2 qualifying session<\/a>, we relocated once more to Club corner where you can see down the pit straight and from the braking point at the end of Hangar straight.<\/p>\n
