Yet again, I have no idea where the time has gone today.<\/p>\n

I watched the end of the Le Mans 24 Hours<\/a> Race; it was good to see Tom Kristensen<\/a> extend his record of victories to nine and hear him dedicate his win to\u00a0fellow Dane Allan Simonsen, who died in an early accident.<\/p>\n

Simonsen was leading the GTE<\/a> Am class in his Aston Martin<\/a> when he crashed heavily at Tertre Rouge on lap three and sustained fatal injuries.\u00a0Kristensen ultimately won the race for Audi with Allan McNish<\/a> and Loic Duval<\/a>.\u00a0“If you want it to be personal, we lost somebody who shared the same dream, an absolutely humble and nice guy,” said Kristensen.\u00a0“It’s a mixed feeling. My father died in March and he said I would win Le mans this year.\u00a0I hope I can win another one and dedicate it to my dad because this year is for Allan Simonsen.”<\/p>\n

Duval echoed Kristensen’s thoughts as he celebrated his first ever Le Mans win.\u00a0“It was great to win but we lost somebody this weekend and this needs to be put in perspective,” he said.<\/p>\n

In other news, preparations in my mind are under way for the next Grand Prix at Silverstone. I won’t be producing my usual live reports as I’ll be sat there watching it happen rather than on the safe with Kit typing away. I’ll try to sum up the days in the evenings though.<\/p>\n

This is set to be another strange week at work. The focus for the year 6 children will be finalising their Dragon’s Den<\/a> style competition entries to be judged on Tuesday. I’m at a maths meeting on Tuesday afternoon<\/a> where I hope to catch up with some of my old MaST buddies. I’m supposed to be having a writing moderation meeting at some point this week also. Then, I’m not at work Friday as we’re going to Silverstone and I’ve paid back that time by not taking two PPA sessions, Also, Thursday and Friday, my class are having bicycle training, Bikeability<\/a>, so they won’t be around to teach properly anyway!<\/p>\n

All very strange.<\/p>\n

Cache number 792, GC4E9YM, was found tonight in Ossett<\/a> while on our way to friend’s house before band. A simple little cache, we picked it up then struggled to return it as three cyclists just wouldn’t go away. In the end, they did though and all was well!<\/p>\n
