After a fairly busy day at work – I’ve detailed Tuesdays before, double maths and that – and the day generally was pretty good. I seem to be in a decent place at the moment with my class and we’re getting along well.<\/p>\n
The main event for this evening was taking Kit to get the send half of her flu\/leukaemia jabs – these will last her a year. The first part of the course really knocked her out. For 36 hours, she wasn’t the same cat. Right now, it’s as if nothing\u00a0had ever happened to her, which is great. It was incredibly worrying before today, but I feel much happier that she’s both protected and ok from the jab.<\/p>\n
As an aside, the vet was wonderful. Absolutely the sort of person you’d want caring for your pet.<\/p>\n
The rest of the night contained a quick trip to Tesco’s<\/a> for a few bits we needed for the rest of the week, and catching up on some some recorded on Sky+ – I particularly enjoyed 9 Days In Summer, a documentary about the Lotus team<\/a> during the 1967 Formula One Season<\/a>.\u00a0The film, a reference to the nine races that Jim Clark<\/a> and Graham Hill<\/a> won, was made as a promotional film for the Ford Company. It showed race footage and huge amounts of engineering detail on the Lotus-Ford car with its three litre V8 engine designed by Colin Chapman<\/a> and Keith Duckworth<\/a>.
