I’d like to say that I’m looking forward to a normal week, but I’ve realised that such a thing does not exist. Mrs Pitts is away for a few nights this week meaning that I have sole responsibility for the cat. That could go well.<\/p>\n

Today, however, flew by with barely anything actually happening. I introduced by class to Alfred, Lord Tennyson<\/a>‘s The Lady Of Shalott<\/a><\/em>, worked on my maths group’s understanding of finding fractions and percentages of numbers and then looked at the history of the Olympic games<\/a> by creating a timeline of all the host countries of the summer and winter games since 1896…<\/p>\n

After school I worked with a group of three children in a maths booster session then returned home.<\/p>\n

At home, Kit was pleased to have some company and we played with a cat toy for a while. I had just as much fun as her, I’m sure. Then Mrs Pitts appeared, made a beautiful smothered chicken for tea and we sat and worked with the TV<\/a> on while Kit ran around the house with a hint of craziness we’ve never seen before.<\/p>\n

Overall, a lovely, normal day. No additional rehearsals, no driving for miles, just getting up, going to work and returning home to my lovely wife, fish and cat.<\/p>\n

What more could a man want?<\/p>\n
