Today I woke up with a stonking head after a very restless night – I remember sleeping, but remember my dreams being very vivid and rushing around, something to do with squares or blocks, I can’t quite remember. I recall waking up<\/a> many times in the night and annoying Mrs Pitts with my sleeping noises…<\/p>\n

Anyway, I couldn’t focus very well when my alarm eventually went off. I felt dizzy, sick and confused – certainly in no fit state to drive to work, let alone teach. So I decided it was best to stay at home, rest and get better. I mentioned yesterday that I’d had cold for 12 days, and clearly this is day 13 of it, yet a restless and hot, sticky night’s sleep hadn’t helped in any way. Today then, was spent curled up on the sofa sleeping. I remember eating lunch, and the next thing I knew Mrs Pitts was quietly waking me up after getting in from work at around 4:45pm.<\/p>\n

This is only the second\u00a0occasion\u00a0I can think of that I have missed work through being ill. Although,\u00a0I must say, I do feel better for the sleep and rest – although the guilt of not being at work has been a constant companion too (but frankly, I’d have been next to useless in my state anyway) – however, I’m still unsure whether I’ll be fit enough to be back in front of the class tomorrow yet either. I’ve been told to make sure I’m better rather than plod through. We shall see how I feel in the morning – a lot will depend on how I sleep tonight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
