Who knew that something as simple, as joyous, as a crayon could\u00a0evolve\u00a0into something so diverse and useful over time? Since 1903, when Crayola<\/a> launched their pack of eight colours containing \u00a0red,\u00a0orange,\u00a0yellow,\u00a0green,\u00a0blue,\u00a0violet,\u00a0brown, and\u00a0black. By 1998, that number had increased to 133 different hues.<\/p>\n

For blues alone you have a choice of aquamarine, blizzard blue, blue bell, blue gray, blue green, blue violet, cadaet blue, cerulean, cornflower, denim, green blue<\/a>, midnight blue, navy, blue, pacific blue, periwinkle, sky blue<\/a>, teal blue<\/a>, turquoise blue<\/a>, violet blue, wild blue yonder, cosmic cobalt, cerulean forest, blueberry, new car, fresh air, sapphire, lapis lazuli<\/a>, stonewashed, aqua pearl, turqoise<\/a> pearl, ocean blue pearl, blue with shimmering silver glitter, b’dazzled blue, steel blue<\/a>, pixie powder, denim blue,\u00a0Caribbean<\/a>\u00a0current, absolute zero. Oh, and blue. That’s 39 different blues.<\/p>\n

Anyway, Data Pointed have made a Crayloa Bow<\/a>, detailing the development of the company’s crayons since 1903. It’s pretty!<\/p>\n
