The custom software in this work draws musical patterns in the form of translucent arches, allowing viewers to see&#8211;literally&#8211;the shape of any composition available on the Web. The resulting images reflect the full range of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Musical form\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Musical_form\">musical forms<\/a>, from the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Deep structure\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Deep_structure\">deep structure<\/a> of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Johann Sebastian Bach\" rel=\"lastfm\" href=\"http:\/\/www.last.fm\/music\/Johann%2BSebastian%2BBach\">Bach<\/a> to the crystalline beauty of <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Philip Glass\" rel=\"lastfm\" href=\"http:\/\/www.last.fm\/music\/Philip%2BGlass\">Philip Glass<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">An example is shown below. The resulting images are simply wonderful.
