It&#8217;s something I&#8217;ve wanted to do for a bit but never had the chance &#8211; and what better day than <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"International Talk Like a Pirate Day\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/International_Talk_Like_a_Pirate_Day\">International Talk Like A Pirate Day<\/a> to join a world wide <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Treasure hunt (game)\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Treasure_hunt_%28game%29\">treasure hunt<\/a>?! The <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Geocaching\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Geocaching\">Geocaching<\/a> <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"IPhone\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/IPhone\">iPhone<\/a> app was a huge help!<\/p>\n<p>We tried four different <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Cache\" rel=\"wikipedia\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cache\">caches<\/a>, finding two of them &#8211; <a title=\"Gomersal Treasure\" href=\"http:\/\/www.geocaching.com\/seek\/cache_details.aspx?guid=03dc47d9-90fb-4150-8f72-31d33dbec06d\" target=\"_blank\">Gomersal Treasure<\/a> and <a title=\"Red House Coin Bank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.geocaching.com\/seek\/cache_details.aspx?guid=799a2b4f-b2b2-436c-97e6-7f88ebe2218c\" target=\"_blank\">Red House Coin Bank<\/a>. The other two were either too ambitious or too obscure for us. We might try them again one day.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the horrible rain and increasingly muddy conditions, we had lots of fun!<\/p>\n<p>I have a photo of the Red House cache, but won&#8217;t post it because I don&#8217;t want to spoil anyone&#8217;s enjoyment.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re off to <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Nottingham\" rel=\"geolocation\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=52.95,-1.13333333333&amp;spn=0.1,0.1&amp;q=52.95,-1.13333333333 (Nottingham)&amp;t=h\">Nottingham<\/a> soon for a short break&#8230; I wonder if there are any <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Geocaching\" rel=\"geolocation\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=45.291,-122.413333333&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=45.291,-122.413333333 (Geocaching)&amp;t=h\">geocaches<\/a> near the hotel?<\/p>\n<div class=\"zemanta-pixie\" style=\"margin-top: 10px; height: 15px;\"><a class=\"zemanta-pixie-a\" title=\"Enhanced by Zemanta\" href=\"http:\/\/www.zemanta.com\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"zemanta-pixie-img\" style=\"border: none; float: right;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/img.zemanta.com\/zemified_e.png?w=1165\" alt=\"Enhanced by Zemanta\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today I went on my first geocaching trip.
